The Victoria line is the hottest on London Underground with temperatures having increased by almost a third in a decade, reaching an average of 28.2C in 2023, rising to above 30C between June and October.
TfL has been actively addressing the rising temperatures by installing new ventilation or cooling solutions, such as doubling the capacity of ventilation shafts and utilizing groundwater underneath Victoria Tube station for cooling.
