The National Gallery's Van Gogh exhibition, Poets And Lovers, has attracted 283,499 visitors since its September opening, now becoming the third most popular exhibition in its history.
Sir Gabriele Finaldi expressed excitement over the exhibition's success, highlighting that night-time access allows the public to experience Van Gogh's works akin to past artists like Freud and Bacon.
The gallery will host a rare overnight opening for the exhibition on 17 January, marking only the second time in history this has occurred at the venue.
The exhibition features over 60 works from various global collections, showcasing Van Gogh's imaginative transformations and providing an immersive experience for visitors.
