With forecasts predicting up to 30cm of snow in northern England and Wales, the Met Office stresses the importance of being prepared for extreme winter weather.
The Met Office defines yellow warnings as situations 'likely to cause low-level impacts'. Many may continue routines, yet significant disruptions can occur.
