Two cars destroyed after allegedly being 'set alight in Goodmayes

In Goodmayes, two cars were set alight early on July 10, prompting firefighters to respond to Alloa Road. They received ten calls regarding the incident, beginning at 3:11 am, and managed to control the fire by 4:42 am. Eight residents were evacuated from nearby homes due to the danger. A video shared online depicted the fire's onset. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire on Alloa Road, Goodmayes. Two vehicles were destroyed by the fire. Eight people evacuated nearby properties before crews arrived.
The Brigade received the first of 10 calls reporting the fire at 0311, and crews had the fire under control by 0442.
Police are now leading the investigation, however the Metropolitan Police are yet to share further information.
