Tube station will get new entrance despite work to build 1,800 homes nearby
Briefly

Documents in a report to TfL's board confirm the transport body was able to secure land for a future new entrance to Finchley Road station as a planning condition for the redevelopment of the O2 shopping centre.
The scheme, which will see 1,800 new homes built by developer Landsec near Finchley Road, was granted planning permission last year, with Landsec agreeing to contribute 10 million to local transport improvements.
As part of the O2 redevelopment, improvements include 1.5 million for upgrades to A41 at Finchley Road, and new bus stands within the site.
TfL has secured the removal of the retail car park at this site, freeing up space for better public realm and active travel facilities.
