Aslef union announced a strike among London Underground train drivers, highlighting ongoing disputes over pay, as various staff members show overwhelming support for industrial action.
Finn Brennan of Aslef expressed disappointment, stating, 'We don't want to go on strike... but we have been forced into this position because management won’t negotiate with us.'
The union reported that a striking 98.8% of Tube driver members voted in favor of the action, reflecting deep frustrations over inadequate pay offers.
Aslef argues that the management's offer of a 3.8% pay rise doesn't suffice, leaving drivers earning less than their counterparts on other TfL services.
