Transport for London (TfL) is set to begin a major track renewal project affecting tram services in Croydon from February 15 to 23. The work will involve replacing a stretch of track between Wellesley Road and East Croydon, resulting in significant service changes that impact the town centre and East Croydon. Passengers are advised to use replacement bus services and expect delays. Additional works including localised repairs and upgrades at various stops will also occur during this period, as TfL aims to secure a reliable future tram service.
TfL's Navid Golshan stated that the planned track maintenance is essential to ensure a reliable tram service and minimise future disruptions.
From 15 to 23 February, significant tram service changes will occur, particularly affecting the town centre and East Croydon, necessitating replacement bus services.
