This major London tube line will be part-suspended until the middle of January
Briefly

The situation on the Piccadilly line has been exacerbated by unusually high leaf-fall due to recent storms, significantly impacting train availability and service reliability.
Transport for London has indicated that leaf-fall this year has been more problematic than usual, as leaves remained on trees longer, causing a spike in leaf debris.
With an aging fleet approaching its 50-year mark, the Piccadilly line will face further challenges as more trains are taken out of service, reducing overall capacity.
Part weekend closures on the Piccadilly line are scheduled from January to June to facilitate the rollout of new, modern air-conditioned trains.
