There are thought to be over 32,000 Japanese residents living in Greater London. This data enables the Japanese community living in the city to embrace the traditions of Hanami ('flower watching') closer to home, as well as those living in London who appreciate Spring and what it has to offer.
During the Hanami cherry blossom season, people sit beneath the blossom trees to eat, drink and socialise. Families, friends and colleagues all gather together.
