The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms affecting much of west London and parts of Greater London on Friday, September 20 from 12pm to 8pm.
Expect heavy showers and local disruption in areas affected by thunderstorms, with potential damage to buildings from lightning strikes and adverse driving conditions.
Over the warning period, thundery showers will develop widely, bringing frequent lightning, gusty winds, and possibly large hail along with heavy rain.
The Met Office warns that 15-25 mm of rainfall may occur within an hour, with a slight chance of 30-40 mm in three hours, particularly in southwest England.
