Judges commend the Elizabeth line as a 'mammoth feat of construction and collaboration' and a 'transport tour de force,' highlighting its significance in London's infrastructure.
The Elizabeth line, designed by Grimshaw, Maynard, Equation and Atkins, has been named RIBA's London Building of the Year and is now in the running for the prestigious Stirling Prize.
The train line spans 62 miles with 26 miles of new tunnels, 10 new stations, and 31 upgraded stations, serving up to two million passengers annually.
