TfL confirmed the closure of the southbound Blackwall tunnel for maintenance work on the northbound route for four weekends in May and June, rerouting northbound traffic through the southbound tunnel.
The northbound, older tunnel of the Blackwall tunnel will undergo maintenance work, including road resurfacing and safety barrier installation, with works linked to the upcoming Silvertown tunnel's opening next year.
Affected dates for the closure are May 18-20, June 1-3, June 8-10, and June 29 to July 1, with the southbound tunnel closing from 12.01am on Saturday to 5am the following Monday.
