Transport for London has reopened applications for Oyster photocards, allowing students, apprentices, and care leavers over 18 to apply for discounted travel after a significant cyber-attack.
TfL's core transport functions remained unaffected despite the cyber-attack, although full online services, such as journey history and refund processes for contactless travel, are yet to be restored.
Deputy Mayor for Transport Seb Dance praised TfL's response to the cyber-attack, commending their efforts which have helped maintain travel services and lessen impact on commuters.
The restoration of service data links enables customers to access live travel times and journey planning through TfL Go and third-party apps, following the cyber incident.
