At about 18:35hrs on Wednesday, 3 July, officers recovered the body of a teenage male from Bidder Pond on Mitcham Common. Sadly, he was confirmed dead at the scene. His family has been informed. The death is currently being treated as unexpected.
We were called 6.39pm on Wednesday 3 July to reports of an incident at the junction of Commonside East and Watneys Road, Mitcham. We sent resources to the scene, including members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an incident response officer. Sadly, a patient died at the scene and was taken to hospital by a third party.
