Andrew Thomas, a local resident, expressed his concerns, stating, "It smells like a bonfire. Standing outside for more than five minutes, you need to go back in and wash your face. It's worrying."
Wandsworth Council indicated that air quality tests are ongoing, saying, "A further air quality test would be done before a decision was made about reopening schools, and we are monitoring the situation closely with LFB."
A spokesperson from London Fire Brigade mentioned, "Crews have been working through Monday night making steady progress...firefighters are working to remove piles of waste to extinguish the fire."
