Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, cautiously supports the idea of holding competitive English Premier League fixtures abroad, despite initial backlash from domestic supporters and organizations.
The proposal for clubs to receive around 5m from international rounds was previously abandoned in 2008 but resurfaced with NBC Sports' interest, opening the door for potential matches outside the UK.
