A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being struck by a police van in north London, which was responding to an emergency incident. The accident occurred around 14:30 BST on Turnpike Lane in Haringey.
The man injured during the incident was subsequently taken to the hospital but fortunately, his injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening. No medical treatment was required for any of the officers involved.
Following the accident, the Metropolitan Police's Directorate of Professional Standards was notified, and further enquiries are currently underway to assess the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The police van, which was marked, was actively engaged in responding to an emergency when it was involved in the collision on Turnpike Lane.
