Plaistow fire: 70 firefighters tackle blaze at east London tower block as three men treated at scene

The London Fire Brigade announced that a fire in a tenth-floor flat on Queens Road West had led to the evacuation of 30 residents, as three men received treatment from paramedics at the scene.

Firefighters reported that both the balcony and interior of the flat were ablaze, necessitating a considerable response of ten fire engines and personnel from multiple fire stations.

Emergency services received around 30 calls reporting the blaze, with the first at 8.02am, highlighting the urgency and severity of the fire as firefighters battled to gain control.

The cause of the fire in the high-rise building remains undetermined according to the London Fire Brigade, while efforts are ongoing to manage the situation with aerial support.
