Emergency services arrived at the M25 accident site near Upminster at 3:59am. This included an incident response officer, advanced paramedic, and ambulance crew.
The tragic incident occurred involving a lorry and a car, resulting in one fatality at the scene and another person hospitalized, with their condition unknown.
According to a spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service, 'Sadly one patient died at the scene. A second patient was taken to hospital while two further patients were treated and discharged.'
All four lanes of the M25 clockwise are currently closed this morning while investigations are being conducted by emergency services following the crash.
