Firefighters were mobilized early this morning to handle a significant flooding incident caused by a burst pipe near King's Cross station, affecting multiple homes.
The London Fire Brigade deployed eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters, including a water rescue team, to evacuate residents and tackle the flooding.
Thames Water issued an apology for the disturbances and confirmed no customers' water supply was affected, while also highlighting the ongoing pipe replacement project in the area.
The flooding situation forced the closure of Pentonville Road, with extensive traffic diversions and bus route changes implemented, although King's Cross station faced no operational issues.
