Part of Piccadilly line to close for two weeks
Briefly

Transport for London (TfL) has announced a two-week closure of the northernmost section of the Piccadilly line, from Cockfosters to Wood Green, starting Saturday.
The closure, expected to last until Sunday 1 September, aims to prepare for the introduction of 94 new air-conditioned trains in 2025.
Replacement bus services will operate between the affected stations and will include stops at Oakwood, Southgate, Arnos Grove, and Bounds Green during the closure period.
TfL stated that the work includes renewing infrastructure, points, and crossings in the Arnos Grove area, and preparing sidings for future trains at Cockfosters.
