Community leaders, including the Mayor of Camden, emphasized the importance of these initiatives in improving tourist experiences and fostering local engagement in the history of Highgate.
Vice-chairman of the Highgate Society, Michael Hammerson, stated that the boards, part of Visit Highgate's initiative, follow the previous tourist leaflet aimed at raising local history awareness.
Key historical points on display through the boards include landmarks associated with poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge and philosopher Francis Bacon’s memorable experiments.
