Police are appealing for information following a tragic incident where a 52-year-old woman died after being struck by a car while walking with her daughter.
The woman was taken to hospital but, despite the best efforts of emergency services, sadly did not survive her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and being unfit to drive.
Officers are actively seeking any dashcam footage or eyewitness accounts related to the collision to aid their investigation.
