More than 56,000 primary school children in England will be homeless this Christmas
Briefly

At least 56,000 primary school children in England will spend Christmas homeless, according to new figures... one in nine pupils in some London primary schools don't have a place to live.
Polly Neate, CEO of Shelter, highlighted the urgency by stating, "It's heartbreaking that one in three primary school classrooms include a child who will spend this Christmas homeless."
Ministry of Housing data shows that at least one in 24 primary school children are living in temporary accommodation, prompting calls for accelerated social housing construction.
Record numbers indicate 123,100 households are living in temporary accommodation...including almost 160,000 children, which underscores a critical issue in housing and welfare.
