PC Jake Cummings, a 25-year-old Metropolitan Police officer, faces multiple serious charges, including two counts of rape and voyeurism involving three female victims.
Since February, Cummings was already embroiled in legal troubles with charges of stalking and coercive behavior, but additional offences were added based on further investigations.
The Metropolitan Police underlined their commitment to ensuring accountability within their ranks by stating that the Directorate of Professional Standards is taking the criminal proceedings seriously.
Cummings' appearance at St Albans Crown Court on 2 September consolidates concerns regarding police conduct and public trust, especially in incidents involving sexual offences.
