Lewis Allington, 34, traveled to London from Cambridgeshire wearing body armor and carrying samurai swords, seeking a meeting with Boris Johnson.
The court case was sent to Southwark Crown Court after Mr Allington was charged with two counts of possession of bladed articles.
The defence argued that Mr Allington had no intention of harm, while the judge granted bail under mental health conditions.
Before his departure from the court, Mr Allington asked about the swords and armor, indicating an interest in their status during proceedings.
