Brwa Shorsh, 24, was found guilty of attempted murder after shoving Tadeusz Potoczek, 61, onto the tube tracks at Oxford Circus station in London. The incident narrowly missed a live rail, and the driver of an oncoming train testified that Potoczek would have been killed if he stayed on the track a few seconds longer.
Shorsh, a Kurdish migrant, denied intending to kill Potoczek but admitted being angry at him due to feeling disrespected. He apologized, stating that although his actions were scary, they were not intended to be lethal. The prosecutor described the incident as a senseless act of violence against an innocent man.
