Emergency services responded to a house fire at Main Street, St Johnston, County Donegal on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at about 9.10pm. The male occupant in his 50s escaped and was taken to hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported at the time. The house suffered significant damage, including multiple windows blown out. Fire services extinguished the blaze and secured the surrounding area, while adjoining buildings were evacuated as a safety precaution. The scene is being preserved for technical examination.
