London's new tram-like buses come into service
Briefly

Transport for London (TfL) has revealed that new 'zero-emission' electric buses will commence operations on the 358 route, showcasing significant advancements in urban public transport.
The new buses feature pantograph technology that allows for rapid charging at bus stops, significantly reducing downtime and enabling the efficient operation of the route without a return to garages.
Designed with enhanced safety features, including speed-limiting technology and improved driver visibility through camera monitoring systems, these buses aim to contribute to the mayor's Vision Zero goal.
Changes at Orpington bus station support the new bus system, with upgraded infrastructure accommodating the latest electric buses while continuing to ensure smooth transitions for all existing services.
