Transport analytics company Inrix reported that London was the most congested city in Europe for the fourth consecutive year, with drivers spending 101 hours in traffic.
Bob Pishue, the report's author, noted that while there was a slight increase in congestion, it has "overall remained steady," reflecting consistent patterns in traffic delays.
A spokesperson for Transport for London stated that their commitment lies in making travel safer and sustainable while investing in initiatives that cut congestion through walking and cycling.
London's heavy traffic is largely due to the "concentration of population, employment and economic activity," contributing to persistent delays on its roads.
