Habiba Naveed, aged 35, confessed to manslaughter in the death of her 72-year-old friend Christopher Brown, as well as stabbing his cat, Snow. She denied murder but admitted to causing unnecessary suffering to Snow. Authorities found Brown dead in his home, with a post-mortem revealing he succumbed to blunt force trauma. Naveed was arrested on the same day the bodies were discovered and later appeared in court remotely for plea proceedings. A decision on whether a trial will take place is pending for April 11, following the prosecutor's request for time to consider the charges.
