A leisure centre in Harold Hill was temporarily closed after firefighters found chemicals on site. The London Fire Brigade was called to Central Park Leisure Centre and identified chemicals in a bucket in the plant room.
Fire crews checked for elevated readings of chemical substances and ventilated the property. The leisure centre is expected to remain closed until a health and safety check is conducted.
