A significant fire broke out early on 21 October in a 10th-floor flat of a 15-storey residential building in Plaistow, leading to a major evacuation.
Around 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines rushed to the scene on Queens Road West, where around 30 residents were successfully evacuated.
Initial reports suggest that the blaze, which engulfed the interior and balcony of the flat, was exacerbated by the residents being unable to exit quickly.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and three men who left the flat are currently receiving treatment from the London Ambulance Service.
