High end restaurants Le Caprice and Carbone want to move into former US embassy site in Mayfair
Briefly

Le Caprice intends to operate seven days a week inside the site, which is being developed into a luxury 137-room hotel with five restaurants, retail units, a spa and a 1,000-person ballroom.
Residents have expressed concerns that the restaurant’s operation could lead to an uptick in public nuisance, due to restrictions that prevent them from upgrading their windows for better sound insulation.
An acoustics survey concluded that Le Caprice's proposed operation would not lead to any adverse noise impact on residents, and Westminster City’s environmental health has withdrawn its objection after amendments were made.
Reviewing Le Caprice's menu reveals high-end options, such as a bottle of Chateau-Haut-Siron 1990 for 1,250 and Iberico pork chops priced at 23.50, indicating its luxury positioning.
