Around 70 firefighters responded to a fire at Mossbourne Community Academy in Hackney, which broke out on a second-floor and was brought under control by 11:30am.
The fire at Mossbourne Community Academy was significant enough to mobilize ten fire engines, with a turntable ladder deployed to tackle the flames from above.
By the time firefighters arrived, a small part of the second floor was alight, and the incident attracted significant attention from local residents.
Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries, and an investigation may follow the incident once the fire was safely extinguished and dealt with.
