Ionut Bratianu, a fugitive wanted for a violent robbery in Germany, was apprehended in London after a plain-clothed officer recognized suspicious behavior.
Inspector Dan Green recounted, 'When I managed to get hold of him and identified myself as a police officer, he then very quickly pushed me away and ran off.'
The fugitive was already linked to multiple thefts in London, and officers later found a valid international arrest warrant for a previous violent robbery in Germany from 2020.
With extradition proceedings initiated, Bratianu faces a return to Germany to serve his sentence for the robbery after completing his time for theft in London.
