This summer, Sir John Soane's Museum will host the inaugural retrospective exhibition on architect Richard Rogers, showcasing his life and influential works. Key projects include the Centre Pompidou and the Millennium Dome. Curated by his son Ab Rogers, the exhibition highlights eight projects spanning from 1967 to 2020 and features installations by Rogers' former practice. Emphasizing his humanist design philosophy, the exhibition opens June 18, 2025, and runs through September 21, 2025, inviting visitors to appreciate the significance of architectural spaces in relation to their inhabitants.
Rogersâ signature style has created genuine landmarks worldwide, introducing ideas such as exposing internal workings on the exterior, emphasizing that buildings are for people.
The exhibition will showcase not only Rogers' architectural brilliance but also his belief that what happens in the spaces between structures is equally significant.
