The police reported a diversity of offences, with arrests primarily for weapons and drug possession, amidst overwhelming crowds at a festive event meant for celebration.
Met Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Ade Adelekan expressed frustration at the recurring violence, stating, 'We are tired of telling families that their loved ones are seriously injured, or worse.'
Despite efforts to enhance security and reduce violence, the Met Police continues to confront challenges as the Carnival, intended as a family celebration, encountered serious incidents.
