Former councillor accused of sexually assaulting boy

Lee Laudat-Scott, former Hackney Council deputy speaker, resigned and was charged with sexually assaulting a child. He also faces allegations of touching a man without consent. Case sent to Snaresbrook Crown Court for a hearing on August 15.
Caroline Woodley, Mayor of Hackney, expressed horror at the allegations and charges against Laudat-Scott and offered support to the victims. A new deputy speaker will be appointed.
