Sixty firefighters in eight fire engines from Plaistow, Dockhead, East Greenwich and surrounding fire stations were dispatched to the scene of a flat fire in Benworth Street.
An entire third floor and part of the fourth floor were damaged in the fire, which is now under investigation.
