Fire Breaks Out at London's Somerset House, Home to Priceless Works by Van Gogh, Cezanne
Briefly

More than 125 firefighters worked to douse a fire Saturday at Somerset House, a prominent London arts venue housing priceless works by Monet, Cezanne, and Van Gogh.
The cause of the fire was not yet known; however, it originated in a corner of the west wing, where there were no artworks present.
Jonathan Reekie, director of Somerset House Trust, confirmed that both staff and the public were safe, and artworks were not in the fire-affected area.
The west wing mainly consists of offices and facilities, and the fire was on the opposite side of the complex from the Courtauld Gallery.
