A crime scene was established near Feltham Station and forensic teams continued enquiries the following day. Flowers, balloons and messages were left at the scene, including a balloon reading "forever in our hearts". The victim's next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Police say no arrests have been made and ask the public to contact 101 or Crimestoppers with information.
