"In the early hours of Monday morning, two children tragically lost their father," said Det Insp Jim Barry. "We recognise this is a worrying time for those in Haringey and residents can expect to see more police in the area while we conduct our inquiries."
Despite the efforts of paramedics and London's Air Ambulance, Mr Volquez died at the scene. A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Thursday.
