Everything we know about building site fire as people urged to stay away

At 8.23am today (June 4), the London Fire Brigade control centre received a call reporting a fire in Silvertown Way. More than 25 calls have been made alerting the emergency services to the incident.
Huge plumes of thick black smoke have been videoed coming from the construction site, cause of the fire currently unknown. A video shows the base of a crane surrounded by smoke.
Around 70 firefighters are at the scene from various stations. A 64m ladder has been deployed. The fire brigade warns people to avoid the area.
