E-bike companies face fines in crackdown on cycles blocking London's streets
Briefly

Transport for London (TfL) has launched a crackdown on dockless e-bike companies such as Lime and Forest, introducing fines for poorly parked bikes on their land.
TfL plans to create at least 800 new parking spaces on its roads by next summer and aims for 3,000 spaces by the end of 2026 for dockless e-bikes.
Clive Wood from Guide Dogs stated that many vision-impaired individuals have struggled to navigate around inconsiderate parking, highlighting the necessity for stricter regulations on e-bikes.
In response to complaints about abandoned bikes, Brent Council reached a deal with Lime that included reducing the fleet size and funding new parking bays to mitigate the issue.
