At approximately 2.30am on September 26, 2024, a fatal collision occurred on the A2 when a black VW Tiguan crashed into a central barrier, resulting in the driver's death.
The incident prompted responses from police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.
Kent Police have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage concerning the fatal collision, urging anyone with information to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
After the crash, temporary road closures were implemented which caused significant delays on the M2 towards London, but the A2 has since reopened with normal traffic conditions restored.
