The RSPCA reported that the Staffordshire bull terrier named Princess was discovered in a severe state of emaciation, suffering from dehydration and liver disease, ultimately leading to her euthanization.
Animal rescue officer Nicola Thomas described Princess's condition in court, highlighting her extreme emaciation and neglect, stating, 'I could see every bone in the dog's hips, spine and legs.'
The court found Carl Playfair guilty of three offenses under the Animal Welfare Act, imposing a ten-year ban on keeping dogs and a suspended prison sentence following RSPCA's prosecution.
