Custom House: Luxury hotel plan for Grade-I listed building on bank of Thames
Briefly

Plans have been submitted to convert the historic Custom House into a luxury 179-room hotel, following prior rejection of similar proposals. Recently bought by Jastar Capital, the proposed development promises not only a hotel with spa facilities but also public amenities, including a café and historic displays to enhance the building's cultural significance. The goal is to revitalize the area, make the Thames Path more accessible, and create community spaces, while respecting the building's heritage.
We are thrilled to put forward our plans to revitalise Custom House with welcoming community spaces, a heritage-focused hotel, and a dynamic quayside.
The proposed development includes a new public ground-floor route through the former King's Warehouse, accompanied by historic displays, opening up more of the Thames Path.
