Sharon Lawson, aged 72, expressed fear that Haringey Council may be waiting for her to die before addressing the dangerous conditions of her flat, raising serious concerns about neglect.
Since reporting the crumbling floor a year ago, four surveyors have confirmed the disrepair, yet the council's response has been inadequate, leaving Lawson living in unsustainable and hazardous conditions.
Haringey Council apologized for the continued distress caused to Ms. Lawson but cited her refusal of three reasonable offers for alternative accommodation which they argue hindered necessary repairs.
Lawson described her daily struggles with the state of her home, explaining that she cannot use her washing machine or host guests due to fears that the floor or staircase might give way.
