The City of London Corporation announced plans for a new co-living development that will feature 174 private rental units aimed at providing affordable accommodation options.
According to City of London Corporation, co-living properties offer 'typically let at more affordable rates' and serve as an alternative for those unable to buy or qualify for traditional affordable housing.
The new development will incorporate sustainable features like connection to a district heating network and natural ventilation, aligning with climate resilience goals and urban greening.
Chair Shravan Joshi highlighted that this redevelopment will contribute towards achieving net zero goals while increasing living accommodations for Londoners, specifically addressing housing challenges.
